Guide’s Journal

The goal of the Honest Musky guide journal is to give our clients and potential clients an accurate view of what is happening on our guide trips.  Every trip is recorded in the journal accompanied by client photos so we can portray a detailed accurate picture of exactly what can be expected when fishing with us.  This is the best way for us to calculate our “success rate” as an accurate account of customer experiences accompanied by more traditional statistics.  We think it is important to describe our success rate in terms of landed fish as well as other aspects of the trip.  Other guides will put forth the proposition that it is not about the fish but the experience, and while we agree that a pleasant, entertaining, and educational experience is very important; success measured in catching fish is still the most important.  To us, a good day of fishing means catching fish, end of story.  Whimsical justifications of bad days of fishing are not our style.  Bad days happen, but we do everything in our power to keep them to a minimum.  With that being said the following is an accurate account of all of our guide trips in chronological order, the latest trip being first in order.  Enjoy.
